Who We Are

Volunteers of America, Utah’s Recovery on Redwood unites our Men’s and Women’s Detoxification Centers under one roof, co-locating both detox programs alongside our Cornerstone Counseling Center on the second floor. This integrated setting allows for seamless access to counseling, case management, and additional recovery supports all within one building. We serve adults 18 and older seeking detox and withdrawal management in a safe, trauma-informed environment. Unique to the Center for Women & Children, mothers may have their children stay with them during care.

What We Do

At Recovery on Redwood, we provide detoxification and mental health services to over 6,000 Utahns annually. Clients receive three meals a day, case management, medication-assisted treatment, Seeking Safety groups, peer support, and 12-Step meetings. Women interested in further treatment for substance use can be screened and assessed into programs.

This work is strengthened by the support of our community. Volunteers regularly serve meals in our detox programs, offering not only nourishment but connection and encouragement. Community members also support our on-site Donation Center at Recovery on Redwood, which distributes essential items throughout VOA, Utah’s programs, while also supporting the programs housed within the building. These partnerships help ensure clients have access to the basic needs and compassionate support that make recovery possible.
