Volunteer: 2025 Group Breakfast Service at YRC

Prior to signing up for the YRC Group Meal Service, it's crucial to watch the sign-up video for essential information on the process, meal options, and important details.

We appreciate your interest in volunteering at VOA Utah's Youth Resource Center. It's important to note that the single signup slot is intended to reserve the meal slot for the entire group.

Unlike many food service opportunities, volunteers at the YRC are responsible for both providing and serving meals. At the YRC we ask for groups of up to 10 people to sign up (4 to 6 is ideal for our kitchen size). Thank you, we couldn't do it without you!

Meal Preparation and Service Guidelines: Volunteers are responsible for providing, preparing, and serving the meal. Our volunteer pantry has ingredients that can be used to make meals. Items and quantities are limited. If you plan to use materials on hand at the YRC, please check with a coordinator at least 48 hours in advance.  Client Numbers: The YRC Team will email you one week before your meal service with client numbers and dietary restrictions for the most accurate update. Group sizes must be 10 or fewer. Volunteers must be age 16 and up. An adult must accompany people under 18. Meals should include a vegetarian option for clients with food restrictions. Any food prepared offsite must be stored at appropriate food temperatures and served within 24 hours of the prep date (food safety standards). You are responsible for cleaning the kitchen area, including washing and storing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down the countertops/cookware. Clients clean the dining space.  No photos or videos of our clients are permitted. You may take pictures of your group in the kitchen (and we're happy to help take pictures for you!), but please respect the privacy of our clients and ensure they are not included in these pictures.
